Episode 14: Digital parachutes and 8-bit SID metal with Robert Stjärnström

Robert Stjärnström, creative director / co-owner at Samuraj and lead singer / producer of Machinae Supremacy, joins our podcast from Luleå, Sweden. At Samuraj, Robert works with exciting virtual reality projects. One example is the Airborne VR 1944 which is a breathtaking paratrooper experience of the D-Day. Robert talks about his background with creative work, how the teams work together at Samuraj and what they have learned along the way. Samuraj has recruited top-notch game developers and Robert shares tips how they have created better performing VR experiences.

With Robert you just can’t pass the chance to talk about Machinae Supremacy, the Swedish band with a very unique sound. Self-defined as “SID metal”, they mix sounds from a SidStation (includes the SID chip of the Commodore 64) with heavy metal, power metal and alternative rock. Their new album “Into The Night World” is released today (Dec 16, 2016) and in January they head to USA for a two week tour.

Enjoy!

I’m interested in the possibilities of the modern web. The speed of development and massive opportunities are breathtaking. I enjoy the results every day - great services, tons of free information, connections with other people. It’s fascinating to live in this era of digitalization. On the other hand I see a lot of potential there’s yet to be tapped. Enterprises should streamline their services by bringing together backend systems and great user experience. If there's a business idea that needs to fly or a pain waiting to be cured, let's work together!
